TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
During English, we’ve been studying the book To Kill a Mockingbird. Set in the Depression-era in the deep south of America in a small, poor and racist town, a lawyer named Atticus (Gregory Peck) defends a black man accused of raping a white woman. His two kids Scout (Mary Badham) and Jem (Phillip Alford) and their friend Dill (John Megna) are people who learn about the nastiness of racism and how it can effect one another.

This Oscar winning achievment is great; the performances in the film, especially Gregory Peck’s and Brock Peters’ who plays the part of the accused black man brilliantly. As well as it’s performances, the film displays an important message on how one must not be so judgemental because of difference. Both of the things that I mentioned previously are two of the main factors of what makes this film so good and one of the most important films of all time.

I haven’t seen or read To Kill a Mockingbird. I look forward to changing this, however.
