KEN PARK

Ken Park is about five teenagers who live in a small and boring town with their dysfunctional families. However, the only thing that they’ve got in their lives is just sex. That’s all.

Unfortunately this film is banned in Australia because of its explicit detailed unsimulated sex scenes with actors playing as teenagers but with a special thanks to the internet, I watched it off this streaming video website (forgot its name but it doesn’t matter because it’s now no more).

The only thing that got me a bit curious about this film was what was the point of everything needing to be shown in explicit detail? Larry Clark’s earlier films involved actors in simulated sex scenes so why did this film need unsimulated sex scenes? Does Larry Clark and Ed Lachman (he helped direct this film as well) like controversy?

But the good about this film was the acting and its script which made this film quite worthwhile. Although I’m not a fan of Larry Clark, I must say he’s done a good job with this film…and same with Ed Lachman.

  1. I look forward to seeing it Max. Banned movies are always good to watch, mainly because you know you’re doing something naughty…

I’ts a pity you can’t come to my Luncheon.

I’ll be sending you a copy of the our Doctor Who Fan Film. “To hunt cookies”. The slogan will be, “One timelord’s dream to eat some chocolate biscuits”. And no, there’s only three scenes in the new season that the Doctor eats. However, Tom Baker, the 4th Doctor regularly ate jelly babies and offered them to his enemies (funny times) to get him out of sticky situations (pun intended).

  2. When a film is banned in Australia, it’s not illegal to watch it or import it, it means that the Classification Board are not to allow any company distribute it.

  3. By the way, if you’re expecting it to be a porno, then you might be a bit disappointed.
